One of the worst situations a business owner can face, is to be presented with a great opportunity, which they're not prepared to take advantage of.

The Southwest Star Magazine is a publication for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche enthusiasts. In addition to Mercedes-Benz and Porsche vehicles, our coverage includes motorsports, fashion, film festivals, gallery openings, museums, and other events sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and/or Porsche. For readers who are more interested in local happenings, we cover regional meets. Our goal is to provide complete coverage for Mercedes-Benz & Porsche; two of the most famous marques in the world.

For those whose ads target Mercedes-Benz and Porsche owners, these demographics have been supplied by Mercedes-Benz and Porsche -

  • Mercedes-Benz owners are 64 percent male, 64 percent college-educated, 63 percent in a professional or managerial position, 81 percent married, their median age is 54, and their median income is $174,558.
  • Porsche collects their data differently in that they do much of it by model and use averages. Owners like Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld skew "average" numbers. Porsche owners are 85 percent male, their average age is 52 for a new 911, 46 for all 911s, 47 for a new Boxster, and their average household income varies wildly depending on the model ($300K+ for a new 911 and $247K for a new Boxster).

That reinforces what you already know - the average household income and buying habits of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche owners demonstrate both their ability and desire to buy quality goods and services. The next question may be, how can your ads reach this audience?

Like everyone else, we track our readership. Google Analytics show 2.4 million people read The Southwest Star Magazine in 2017. Compared to the New York Times, our circulation is small, but unlike the Times, it's highly targeted. For a yearlong campaign, the cost per thousand (CPM) for a single full-page ad in the Southwest Star Magazine is less than twenty-five cents ($600 for four issues divided by 2,440). Most publications change substantially more. If you'd like to place your ad in front of this targeted audience, contact us.
